Six years ago, I attended my very first World Natural Hair Show, and it left a lasting impression. This year, I finally made it back — and it was everything I remembered and more. Hosted in Atlanta and presented by the iconic Taliah Waajid, the World Natural Hair Show 2025 brought together the best in Black-owned hair care, natural beauty, and cultural pride. This time, I experienced it alongside my family, making it even more meaningful.
From the moment we walked in on Saturday, we were welcomed with the sounds of African drums, echoing the rich heritage behind this celebration of natural Black hair. The space was alive — full of creativity, community, and commerce.
Searching for Natural Hair Accessories — and Finding So Much More
I came with one mission: to find natural hair accessories that fit my style and support Black-owned businesses. I browsed booth after booth, connecting with founders, testing products, and taking in all the beauty that this show had to offer. Whether you’re team twist-out, loc’d and loving it, or rocking a sleek puff, this event had everything from nourishing hair products to custom accessories.
Standout Vendors You Should Know
While I engaged with nearly every booth, a few brands truly stood out:
- Black Girl Vitamins – If you’ve been looking for a wellness brand that centers Black women’s health, this is it. Their vitamins are specifically formulated to support melanin-rich skin, hormonal balance, and energy levels. Their booth was buzzing for good reason.
- Two Local Black-Owned Jewelry Brands – While I came for hair accessories, I couldn’t resist exploring some of the local artistry. These Atlanta-based jewelry designers offered unique handmade pieces that added flair to any outfit — from bold statement earrings to delicate everyday wear. They reminded me how powerful it is to support creatives right in our own communities.
I’ll be featuring these vendors more in future posts, so let me know if there’s one you’d like to learn more about — whether it’s an interview, product test, or behind-the-scenes look at how they create.
Performances, Rest Stops, and Real Connections
Between all the shopping, I took time to enjoy the live performances happening throughout the venue. From drummers to dancers, every act added depth to the experience — a celebration of culture that went beyond curls and coils.
Final Thoughts
The World Natural Hair Show 2025 is more than a hair event — it’s a Black cultural marketplace that empowers, educates, and energizes. If you’ve never been, make it a priority next year. You’ll leave with new products, new connections, and a deeper love for your natural self.
